Thunder Without Rain Free Pre-Order

Thunder Without Rain by Ryan Brown is a free pre-order today from the Amazon Kindle store.  What that means is if you order it today, Amazon will send it to your Kindle device (for free) on its national release date of October 4, 2011.

We’ve all seen these free pre-orders last for a very short time –  my own personal theory is they take so many free orders up to a certain point to have a big “pop” in the number of counted sales on its release date for it to be “#1” or whatever number the publisher is looking to achieve on its release date.  That way they can advertise for years with something like “the author’s debut novel zoomed to the top of the Amazon bestseller list on its first day of release” without having to disclose they gave away 50,000 or so copies.

Anyway, enough theory: if you would like to claim your free pre-order you can do so if you click here.

Here is the book’s description from the Amazon website (doesn’t really tell you anything):

Ryan Brown is an actor who has starred on the daytime dramas Guiding Light and The Young and The Restless, and has appeared on Law & Order as well as in feature films for Lifetime Television. PLAY DEAD is his first novel. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and children.
